WELCOME TO MARCIA JAMES’ WEB SITE!
If you love your fiction well-seasoned with romance, humor, mystery and sensuality, you’ve come to the right place! Smokey, my Chinese Crested hairless dog logo, and I welcome you and hope you’ll stay a while and check out my Web site. The following is my latest release, but please check my Books page for more “Marcia James” titles. Smokey is particularly fond of At Her Command because in that book he goes undercover as a DEA drug-sniffing dog. My publisher picked one of his cousins for the cover, so Smokey missed his shot at being a cover hunk. But he’s happy to be featured prominently on my Web site.
Tails of Love is an anthology of romantic stories featuring heartwarming animals from ten talented authors. In addition, 100% of the royalties will go to the Animal Adoption Foundation, a no-kill animal shelter in Hamilton County, OH. This charity anthology is the pet project (pun intended) of author Lori Foster, and the authors joining her in Tails of Love are: Kate Angell, Stella Cameron, Dianne Castell, Anne Christopher, Marcia James, Donna MacMeans, Sarah McCarty, Patricia Sargeant, and Sue-Ellen Welfonder. This benefit anthology will be released in June 2009.
My contribution to this entertaining anthology is “Rescue Me”, the story of how a good deed can return ten-fold. Ex-quarterback Adam “Nuke” Baumgardner saves a starving stray, and the Chinese crested hairless dog returns the favor by reuniting him with his lost love, veterinarian Claire Mendelsohn.
While you’re here, don’t miss Dr. Ally’s Sex Q&A, an online advice column written by the sex therapist heroine of my work-in-progress, Sex & the Single Therapist. And check out The James Gang, my monthly interviews with other authors and industry professionals.
In my eclectic career, I’ve produced training videos for submarine crews, penned radio spots for Chinese beer and currently write pro-romance articles for my local newspaper. As a volunteer for non-profit organizations, I’ve organized film premieres and worked with celebrities from Tom Selleck to Clint Eastwood. (see Photos) Thanks to this diverse background and my wonderful, supportive soul mate (see About Me), I can draw on a rich base of experiences when writing romantic fiction.
